The Science Film Festival

Organizer:

Slovak Centre of Scientific and Technical Information and National Centre for Popularisation of Science and Technology in Society by Slovak Centre of Scientific and Technical Information. The event is held, under the auspices of Ministry of Education, Science, Research and Sports of Slovak Republic.

We are starting a new tradition at the Science and Technology Week in Slovak republic. We are introducing Science Film Festival – SFF 2014 – the first of its kind in Slovakia, which will take place from 12th to 15th November 2014 in the premises of Theatre Malá scéna STU in Bratislava.

Visitors can look forward to interesting science – promotional films Hawking, Tesla: Master of lightning or film GMO/OMG,  Climate change and food security or film How to feed cities? – a call to future, that deals with current social issues. Besides films, the festival will present also television reports, that bring closer science to the wide public. Television documents such as Spectre of science  or video profiles Scientist portraits will be broadcasted too.

Science enthusiasts and those interested in scientific findings will have the opportunity to discuss with scientists and professionals on various topics on the festival. Science and Technology Week in Slovak republic offers them a wide palette of events such as presentations, exhibitions or interactive installations.
